It doesn't matter if the topic is really about today, tomorrow, or a week from now. A lot of people choose to write essays about different aspects of their lives that are in the present tense.
You may be thinking that you could probably use something in the past tense instead of the present tense. However, that just isn't a good option. Many times students would opt to choose a past tense rather than the present tense and vice versa. Writing essays is hard, and there are a lot of essay topics that you can choose from. No matter what topic you choose, it is always best to stick with your topic. If you have a lot of ideas or just want to choose a topic that you are familiar with, choosing a past tense may help you. Past tense essays are easier to write than past tense essay topics. The main reason why writing essays in the past tense is easier to write is because of the less chance that you will write grammatically wrong. In order to make sure that you have a successful essay, you should try and practice your essay topics using the past tense. When you are working on essay topics, you should try and come up with some thoughts that are really interesting. For instance, when it comes to writing about today, you should think about things that you are currently doing. For example, you could be talking about a project that you are working on right now. If you don't know exactly how to start the topic, you could take some time and talk about certain parts of your life. Just make sure that you put some thought into it so that you don't end up with an essay that sounds like a bunch of garbage. Topics that are in the past tense can be easily compared to all of the other topics that you have written before. They should have a similar feel and also make sense. The main difference is that they have a better flow to them. When writing your past tense essay topics, you should not worry about grammar or style too much. All you want to do is to come up with topics that you are familiar with and to write your essay so that it flows correctly.
